Did you know that you can make your own chalk paint from latex paint!?

Our grandbaby has a plastic log cabin at our house. I read that chalk paint would work to cover plastic.

I had almost a full can of green latex and decided to mix my own chalk paint rather than buying some!

This looks so much better and went on with one coat coverage!

The formula is

•2 cups latex paint (flat, satin or egg shell)

•1/3 cup plaster of Paris

•2 TBSP water

Mix with a stir stick and you are ready!

That single batch of chalk paint covered the entire exterior of this log cabin. A little goes a long way.

Isn’t that so easy!?!
