Updated Kitchen Hardware

A quick and simple way to update your kitchen is by updating the hardware. Period.

Tiny knobs or no hardware at all dates the kitchen and is a simple fix. I personally like to bring some black into every room as my classic neutral so I chose black hardware. Metal trends seem to come and go… by sticking with black I’m skipping past trends.

I am using a chunky hardware from Amazon and absoltely LOVE them. They are well made, sturdy and visually appealing. You will find so many choices on Amazon and the prices are reasonable. I’ve found it’s hard to buy the amount you need in a hardware store so don’t feel bad shopping for hardware from your laptop.

This is my affiliate link for the hardware I chose https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFXSWPB/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B07MFXSWPB&linkCode=as2&tag=desperatecr01-20&linkId=2c7bec4734b46c6b34c12fff16b13636

If you need to add a second hole in your cabinet doors for the hardware it’s not that scary. Mark the hole (these are 3 inches apart), drill a pilot hole with a thinner drill bit then widen the hole with the drill bit size you need. The pilot hole makes it easier on you- cabinets are solid wood and it takes some muscle to push through. Screw into the hardware from the back and you are done!!!!

Looking back at our kitchen when we were moving in back in July…

Our kitchen now. Painted the walls, ceiling, and cabinets. Removed microwave and replaced it with a DIY range hood. Removed the drop down box over the island, planked it and added new lighting. The new hardware is a more modern update from the original small knobs.

Thanks for checking out the post and hope it’s helpful if you are looking to update your kitchen- Kristen
