Back in Tampa I was half of a business called Stylish Spaces by SK Designs. I worked with my dear friend, Stacy, as a joint LLC and miss my job a lot. She was the S and I was the K if you haven’t already surmised that.
On one of our jobs we staged an entire home for sale. We looked for inexpensive staging options and here was a GENIUS idea for creating artwork that pulled a room together with finished and coordinated details.
We wanted to use as much of what we could from the client’s stash of decor and made minimal purchases such as a fresh door mat or flowers. Here are some frames we found in her collection. I just so happened to have an assortment of Ethan Allen upholstery fabrics.
We chose fabric in the same colors but with different pattern and texture then simply pressed the fabric them placed them in the frames. We rearranged furniture, hung some curtains she had never opened ( or inspiration for the color theme) and added our new artwork for a beautifully pulled together entry room.
If you have frames and are looking for a fresh idea try framing fabrics!!!
