Homemade Natural Peanut Butter

We recently purchased a Vitamix blender and I decided to try making my own peanut butter in it.

I purchased unsalted peanuts at our grocery store. I read do not use dry roasted unsalted peanuts, just by plain unsalted peanuts. You will also need oil of your choice and a pinch of salt.

Pour the peanuts on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes on 250 degrees.

They appear more golden and roasted.

Pour the peanuts into the blender and add some olive oil. I used about 1/4 cup then as needed until it was the consistency I wanted.

Obviously a wimpy blender won’t make something as smooth as butter. I love the size and strength of this blender. If you are in the market for a blender here is my associate link for this one https://amzn.to/3ZgYjl8

I poured the peanut butter into Mason jars with reusable plastic lids. We also use these lids to shake iced coffee then throw in the dish washer. If you are interested in reusable lids here’s my link for these https://amzn.to/3Piejie

Seriously so easy!!! So much healthier and less expensive than store bought peanut butter. I don’t think I’ll ever buy peanut butter again.

Cheers- Kristen
