Kids Playroom + Cyber School Area

I’m working on a playroom/cyber school space for 2 adorable boys that are 7 and 9. They are outgrowing many of their toys like the play kitchen and it’s time for a purge to make room for a space that can take them into their teens.

This darling little desk is taking a trip to the basement to make room for a new desk.

Desks are very difficult to come by with everyone scrambling to have a school space in their homes. This client was actually on a waiting list for desks via IKEA. We got very lucky and found this one at Aldi for $69.

Naturally both of the boys wanted a new desk and after some searching I was able to find one that’s very similar on Wayfair as seen above.

The boys both got new desk chairs to replace the dining room chairs they were using. The chairs swivel 360 degrees and are available in 11 colors on Amazon. They both chose the chairs in blue. Here’s my link for these amazing chairs https://amzn.to/3irKjOk

The boys had some bean bags that lost their fluff but would be great to bring back to life for gaming and lounging. New polyfil beads are on the way to add to the inserts.

Found some corduroy like fabric covers on Pottery Barn Teen that will be perfect in the room. https://www.pbteen.com/products/charcoal-chamois-beanbag/

The bean bags came in medium or large. To determine what size to order I took off the existing cover to measure it. We decided to go with the largest size option based on measurements.

I’ll be sure to update this when we finish freshening up the bean bags. Love their new space which can can easily take the boys into their teenage years.

Cheers –

Kristen
